We are located in the beautiful finger lakes region of New York. My husband and I with our five children enjoy life in the country on our 43 acre farmete. Summer time is a high light with a 3 acre pond in the backyard to do some fishing, boating and or swimming. Summer also brings some fresh green grass for our 3 goats and 1 driving horse. Gathering the eggs from our flock of hens, healping care for the animals gives the children some fresh air and sunshine and helps keep them from mischief. Of course we can’t forget our two miniature Dachshunds. That is a hobby for the children and I and its always exciting to see what the next litter will look like. It would be fun to do another small breed puppy but so far we are with the Dachshunds. They have a friendly temperament, a perfect size to make good pets for children and adults a like.
