Miniature Dachshund
Breeds
BREEDING SINCE 2002 My family, the Sheats, have kept Dachshunds since I was a little girl. I have a scar above one eye to prove that I was a pesky toddler who thought she'd bother a Dachshund who was eating by pulling her tail. My parents' Dachshund, Bows, loved to unroll toilet paper, and though she knew better than to try her trick when the family was home, she was known to roll toilet paper from one end of the house to the other when left at home alone. Here in Griffin, Georgia, on the south side of Atlanta, we have 4 acres and 3 dachshunds. Our fine cream boy is Boaz, an AKC long-hair dachshund who is perhaps the sweetest dachshund ever, and weighs 9 lbs. He has fathered 3 beautiful litters. Our pretty shaded red girl, Ruth, is an AKC long-hair who weighs 12 lbs. She has whelped 3 litters with Boaz as their sire, and she is a good mama. Coppertop is a puppy from our second litter that was simply so talented and loving and funny and cuddly and beautiful that we decided to keep her! We have put lots of information about Dachshunds on our website to help you decide if this breed is for you and your family, and to help you care for your dogs, especially of the Dachshund breed. Occasionally we have a litter of puppies. We began breeding Dachshunds in 2002.
