Description
Lucy is our loving, family farm pet! She loves our kids and we are so sad to have to rehome her. For years she was left untied on our 100 acre property. Then we decided to tie her at night when we discovered she went on exploring adventures to my best friends house. (Our fields adjoin) This worked well, but most recently she has gone exploring twice. (Once at night when we forgot to tie her and once during the day.) Unfortunately, both times she was found by well meaning people who tied her so she couldn't come back home and took her to the pound. When the first incident happened we tied her for 3 months unless we were with her. This only made the problem worse as she yearned for her old freedom. She has been surprisingly calm and happy being tied, but that's not what we want for our sweet dog.
With the terrain of our yard and farm building dotted around, radio fences have too much interference and have failed.
Lucy is not fixed. She has never had a litter. We did try to breed her early this year and she did not get pregnant. She may not be able to or we didn't try long enough, I truly don't know. We got her from a breeder in Holmes County at a discount so she came without papers, but I believe both parents were purebreds. She is also chip registered and is up to date on all her shots. If you have an underground fence or a fenced in yard, Lucy would make a great pet for you! We are charging something for her to make sure she is going to a loving, safe environment.
