I am a Havamalt puppy! I was born on June 4th and I will be ready for my forever home on July 30th! I have been family raised on a farm in the country around children. I have had my shots and de-wormers. I have been checked by a veterinarian. I am microchipped. For more information or to schedule a visit with me, please contact Connie Monday through Saturday. All Sunday calls will be returned on Monday.
We have shipping available thru Fury Trails Pet Transport. Price is $300 to the east and $400 to the west. We will have health papers on the puppies to guarantee that they are healthy when they leave us. We will send home with the new owner some food and all shot and worming records.
The Havamalt is an affectionate, friendly, and lovable mixed breed between a Havanese and a Maltese developed in the 1980s. This is an excellent breed for an elderly person, new or experienced dog owner. Due to their intelligence they are easy to train, but early training and socialization is advised. The loyal Havamalt makes a great companion and is a wonderful family dog who gets along with other pets in the home. They do not like being alone, and may suffer from separation anxiety and subsequently exhibit destructive behavior. They only require 30-45 minutes a day of exercise and that can be met with a few short walks. It is necessary to not overdo it when walking this breed so that they do not develop joint issues later on. This breed does need to play games to keep mentally alert. The Havamalt is typically 9-12 inches high, usually weighs 5-17 pounds, and generally has a lifespan of 12-15 years. The Havamalt’s gorgeous long, silky coat is hypoallergenic and is an excellent breed for those who suffer from allergies. The Havamalt does not suffer from many physical problems and with routine veterinary care should live a long and happy life.
