Description

“Paws for new beginnings”  I am an Australian Shepherd Mix puppy!  I was born on June 14th and I will be ready for my forever home on August 9th! I have been family raised on a farm in the country. I have had my shots and dewormers. I have been checked by a veterinarian. For more information or to schedule a visit with me, please contact John Monday through Saturday. All Sunday calls will be returned on Monday. My Mom is Betty a 40lb Aussie and my Dad is a 35lb Aussie/Blue Heeler (also know as Australian Cattle Dog) Mix. Australian Shepherds, bred initially to herd livestock and be work dogs, have maintained their energetic nature and are happiest when given a task and being played with. These dogs are very intelligent and thrive when performing activities and love to learn new tricks and games. They are easy to train and highly intelligent, but do have a tendency to bark or howl, and use their mouth to communicate by chewing or play-biting, and for this reason usually enjoy activities such as fetch. Aussies are prone to explore and have very high energy needs.  The Blue Heeler is a highly energetic, smart, and loyal herding pup originally bred in 19th‑century Australia to drive cattle across rugged terrain. These puppies are born with white coats, which begin developing their signature blue-gray mottled or speckled markings—and sometimes tan highlights—as they grow over several weeks. Medium-sized yet muscular, adult Heelers usually stand between 17–20 inches tall, weigh around 33–50 pounds. Known for their loyalty and protective nature, they bond deeply with their families but often remain aloof around strangers unless properly socialized early on. Their herding instincts can make them nippy toward running children or small pets if not guided through training and social exposure. These dogs thrive on structure, challenge, and activity—agility, fetch, and even herding-like games can keep them physically and mentally engaged.
